Jon Adler

Jon M. Adler provides legal services for individuals, business owners, property buyers and sellers, non-profit organizations and those in the entertainment profession.

Jon understands the issues and challenges presented by clients in these areas and is proud to advocate every day on behalf of fairness and accountability.

Legal Background
Jon Adler has extensive experience in the entertainment business, enabling him to provide comprehensive legal services and strategic advice for a broad variety of entertainment legal matters, including film production counsel and talent representation.

While receiving his undergraduate degree, he assisted talent agents at Omnipop Talent Group and in the Publicity and Promotions department at 20th Century Fox Film. He also worked at the William Morris Agency, for an NBC game show and has assisted feature film producers.

While in law school, Jon clerked in the Boston offices of two national plaintiff litigation firms, Lopez, Hodes, Restaino, Milman & Skikos and Brent Coon & Associates. He became an associate attorney at Brent Coon & Associates after graduating from law school. Jon also worked as an intern for Suffolk Lawyers for Justice, and as a judicial intern in the Boston Municipal Court.

As a real estate attorney, he represents buyers, sellers and lenders in all aspects of real estate transactions, including purchase-and-sale agreements, leases and real estate contracts. Jon also reviews title examinations, issues title insurance and prepares closing documents.

Jon’s skills in business law enable him to assist individuals and corporations in any type of contract formation, review, interpretation, and negotiation.

Professional Associations
Jon Adler is a member of the Illinois Bar Association, Chicago Bar Association, Illinois Real Estate Lawyers Association, Small Business Advocacy Council, Realtors to the Rescue and provides pro bono legal assistance to clients through the Lawyers for the Creative Arts and Jewish United Fund. He is a member of the state bar in Illinois and federal bars in Massachusetts.

Jon volunteers his time as a member of the Steering Committee for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s Chicago Light the Night Walk. He is also a member of the Young Leadership Committee for Keshet, a nonprofit organization in Chicago that provides educational, recreational, vocational and social programs for individuals with intellectual disabilities.
